STATEMENT OF FAITH

I.)      We believe that the Bible is God’s Holy Word (john 1:1-14), and that it is eternal (John 1:1, Psalms 119:89, I Peter 1:24-25), unchanging (Malachi 3:6), Inerrant (Psalms 12:6, Psalms 19:7-11, II Peter 1:19), Inspired of God in its original autographs (II Peter 1:20-21, Romans 3:4), and has been preserved as inspired unto all generations (Psalms 100:5, Matthew 5:18) in the Received Text and the King James Bible, and is, therefore, our Final Authority in matters of faith and practice.

II.)    We believe in only one God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three eternal and co-equal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and that these are same in substance, but distinct in subsistence (Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:21-22)

III.)  We believe in God the Father, who is eternal (Psalms 90:2), and perfect in Holiness (Leviticus 11:44, Isaiah 6:3), Immutability (Hebrews 6:18-20, James 1:17), Infinity (I Kings 8:27, Acts 17:24-28), Love (I John 4:8), Omnipotence (Genesis 17:1, II Corinthians 6:18), Omnipresence (Psalms 139:7-11), Omniscience (Psalms 147:4, Acts 15:18), Righteousness (Psalms 11:7, Psalms 145:17), Simplicity (Romans 10:13), Sovereignty (Psalms 135:6, Ephesians 1:11-12), Grace (Psalms 86:15, Luke 2:40), Truth (Psalms 25:10, John 14:6, John 17:3), Mercy (II Corinthians 1:3-4), and Unity (I John 5:7-8)

IV.)We believe that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Mathew 16:13-17); that He was born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:18-25), that He was sinless in His life (II Corinthians 5:21), that by His death and shed blood on the cross of Calvary He made atonement for our sins and the sins of the whole world (Romans 5:8-11, I John 2:2), that He was buried and rose again the 3d day according to the Scriptures (Luke 24:1-12, I Corinthians 15:3-6), and that after He appeared to many witnesses; He ascended into Heaven (Acts 1:1-11, I Corinthians 15:6-8), and that He is currently seated at the right hand of God the Father making continually intercession for us (Hebrews 1-10).

V.)  The Second Coming We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ .This return is in two parts, first Jesus comes in the air and calls the born again unto himself. This rapture of the saints will be followed by the seven-year Tribulation. At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will personally and visibly return with His saints to establish His earthly Messianic kingdom which was promised to the nation Israel. (Isaiah 9:6-7; Luke 1:32-33; Acts 1:11; I Corinthians 15:51-55; I Thessalonians 3:13; Revelation 1:7

VI.)We believe in the new birth and that being born again is the only thing necessary for Salvation (John 3:3)

VII.)                       We believe the Salvation is not dependent on self or works of the flesh, but by faith thru the grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16)

VIII.)                     We believe in the blessed assurance and eternal security of all believers, who have personally trusted Jesus Christ as their Savior (John 10:25-30)

IX.)  We believe in God the Holy Spirit who has come to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; to seal, sanctify, and comfort those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:7-11)

X.)    We believe in 2 local New Testament church ordinances:

1.)    Baptism (Acts 2:41)

2.)    Lord’s Supper (Luke 22:19-20)

These ordinances are not a means of, or essential to, Salvation.

XI.)  We believe in the Christians living a separated life (II Corinthians 6:14)

XII.)                        We believe in tithing (I Corinthians 16:2)

XIII.)                      We believe in soul winning (Proverbs 11:30)

XIV.)                     We believe in a literal Heaven (II Corinthians 5:1) and a literal Hell (Revelation 20:15)

XV.)                       We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord for eternity (I Thessalonians 4:17), and the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting punishment (Revelation 20:11-15)

XVI.)                     We believe that humanity is God’s creation, and that evolution is a doctrine of the devil  (Genesis 1-2, Psalms 100:3, I Timothy 4:1), that Adam and Eve were created in the image of God and innocent of sin, but fell by reason of transgression in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3); that, since then, humanity has inherited a sin nature from Adam and is sinful by choice (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, I Corinthians 15:22), and that our sins have separated us from our God making us enemies of Him (Isaiah 59:2, Romans 5:10), and that the soul of man is immortal and will never be annihilated (Luke 16:19-31, Psalms 21:4, Psalms 31:5, Mark 9:43-48)

XVII.)                   We believe that Salvation from our sins, reconciliation to God and restoration of our relationships is obtained by God’s grace through faith (Romans 10:9-10), that the shed blood and death of Jesus Christ are the means by which we receive forgiveness (Ephesians 2:3-12, I Peter 3:18, I John 1:8-9), and cleansing from sin (I John 1:7, I Corinthians 6:11, Revelation 1:5), that repentance is necessary for Salvation (Luke 13:3, II Peter 3:9), that our Salvation can never be lost (Romans 8:38-39), and that this Salvation is available to all (John 3:16, Romans 10:13, I John 2:2)

XVIII.)                   We believe the local church is not a building but an organized, visible, assembly of baptized believers, associated together by a covenant of faith, based solely upon the Word of God. I do not believe in a universal church. We believe the New Testament church started with Jesus, and not at Pentecost. We believe that what is commonly called such is the Family of God. We believe that the church (local only) is also called the Body of Christ. The officers of ordination are pastors and deacons. We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free from any external authority or control. We believe the mission of the church is to win the lost, baptize them, and teach and instruct them in the Word of God so that they too will win the lost. (Matthew 18:15-20; 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-42; 6:1-7; 1 Corinthians 11:20-34; I Timothy 3:1-13; II Timothy 2:2).
